-- what are you guys using for recording as far as microphones go? for that matter, what are you all using live? here in hanford we use your basic sm-57s for instruments, sm-58s for vocals, and some MXLs for recording. for live audio it's hard to beat the durability of the shure sm-57s|58s, but we also use some sennheiser vocal mics for a bit hotter of a signal for our less loud singers. the MXL 603 is a phenomenal mic for a tiny price! it's a little condenser but you can pick one up on ebay (they are discontinued in retail) for about $60. i highly reccomend them. we also have an audix setup for our percussion guys. maranatha geno
